I have always had a genuine interest in the well-being of my human fellows. When people feel good, they have positive energy, they contribute to a constructive atmosphere, they are committed and reach their goals faster. I have also always had a natural way of empowering and encouraging those I work with. With my coaching, I aspire to make the workplace a happier place. When I use the term “happier”, I am referring to much more than just putting a smile on everybody’s face. I am referring to the feeling of deep satisfaction and well-being that we know after having accomplished a great job or even after having used one’s full potentials for a special task.
I have chosen to dedicate my energy to develop the human dimension within organisations: from human capital to human potentials. And this can start with you. With my coaching services, I have the sincere desire to support you in this aspect of your work.
As a manager or executive you act as a role model, whether you want it or not. The way you feel and act at work has quite a large influence on your team and even on the whole organisation. The challenges that you face everyday may have increased over time because of increased complexity in processes, various and frequent organisational changes, globalisation of teams or difficult business partners. Maybe right at this moment you also have the desire to experience more happiness, more energy, more peace of mind, more clarity at work.
In the last 17 years, I have held various positions related to leadership: team leader, project leader, head of department. Speaking fluently four languages, I have always worked in international environments – I assume it is in my DNA. I have always been fascinated by the diversity that can be found in these organisational settings and by the corresponding wealth of potentials that these organisations carry.
Growing up in the Montreal area in Canada, I loved to go to school and to learn new things. Mathematics was my favorite topic and I was really good at it. When it was time to go to university, I decided to study actuarial sciences as it felt like to I could apply the science to real life stuff. After years of calculating different items, e.g. insurance premiums, pension liabilities, etc. there was one day when I could not look at a spreadsheet full of formulae and numbers.
What I loved most in my work was working with people and helping a group moving forward, making sure we would meet the deadlines and the associated goals, all that in a collaborative atmosphere. I became passionately curious about people and organisations: why do some succeed and others fail? Why do some survive crises and others don’t? Why do things look easy for some and difficult for others?
This is the reason why I have chosen to work as a business coach as I believe that my passion for people, my energy, my experience and my personality can make an impact for your business. I do not know all the answers but I have tools that will help us to discover them together.
